These Terms & Conditions govern the use of services provided by Salalah Shipping & Marine Services LLC. By engaging our services or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

 

  1. Scope of Services

SSMSC provides marine services, ship agency, logistics, freight forwarding, customs clearance, transportation, project cargo handling, and related support services across the Sultanate of Oman and beyond. Specific service scope, rates, and responsibilities shall be defined in individual agreements, quotations, or confirmations.

 

  1. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • Provide accurate, complete, and lawful shipment information
  • Ensure cargo complies with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Obtain required licenses, permits, and approvals where applicable
  • Declare hazardous, restricted, or regulated cargo in advance
  • Settle invoices within agreed credit terms

SSMSC shall not be liable for delays or penalties arising from inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the client.

 

  1. Rates, Payments & Charges
  • All rates are subject to confirmation and may vary based on port, cargo type, and operational requirements
  • Additional charges may apply for delays, inspections, demurrage, detention, or third-party costs
  • Invoices must be settled within the agreed payment terms

 

  1. Liability & Limitation
  • SSMSC acts as an agent or service coordinator unless otherwise agreed in writing
  • Liability, where applicable, shall be limited in accordance with relevant international conventions and local laws
  • SSMSC is not liable for indirect, consequential, or economic losses

Insurance coverage, including cargo insurance or haulier liability, may be arranged upon written request and at additional cost.

 

  1. Force Majeure

SSMSC shall not be liable for failure or delay in performance due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, port congestion, weather conditions, strikes, government actions, or war.

 

  1. Confidentiality

All commercial, operational, and client information shared with SSMSC shall be treated as confidential and used solely for service execution, unless disclosure is required by law or authorities.

 

  1. Compliance with Laws

All services are subject to the laws, regulations, and customs procedures applicable in the Sultanate of Oman and relevant international trade rules.

 

  1. Termination of Services

SSMSC reserves the right to suspend or terminate services in the event of non-payment, regulatory non-compliance, or breach of these Terms & Conditions.

 

  1. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Sultanate of Oman. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Omani courts.

 

  1. Amendments

SSMSC may revise these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be effective upon publication or written notification.
